Become a Life Member of Greater Noakhali Club of Australia Inc. (GN Club) and establish a lasting connection with our growing community.
Life Membership is a Voting Membership for eligible individuals who want to make a long-term commitment to GN Club, participate in its community and charitable activities, and have an active voice in the future direction of the Association.
💳 One-Off Life Membership Fee
Life Membership Fee: AUD $1,000 – One-Off Payment
Once the Life Membership fee has been paid in full, no further annual membership fee is required for Life Membership.
A Life Member who has paid the applicable one-off fee and has no other amount properly due remains a Financial Member, subject to the GN Club Constitution.

Voting Rights – Exercise one (1) vote at General Meetings while you remain a Financial Voting Member.

Nomination & Election Rights – Nominate and second eligible candidates and vote in Management Committee elections, subject to the Constitution.

Opportunity to Stand for Elected Office – Eligible Life Members may stand for Management Committee positions, subject to the additional election and office eligibility requirements of the Constitution.

Member Updates & Early Notifications – Receive GN Club news, event announcements, program information, volunteering opportunities and important membership communications.

Programs & Community Activities – Participate in eligible cultural, educational, social, sporting, recreational, volunteering, charitable and community-development activities.

✅ Who Can Apply?
To apply for Life Membership, you must satisfy the applicable Voting Membership eligibility requirements under the GN Club Constitution, including:

Be 18 years of age or older;

Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or person lawfully residing in Australia;

Ordinarily have an ancestral, family or cultural origin from Greater Noakhali — Noakhali, Feni or Lakshmipur districts of Bangladesh;

Support the charitable objects and purposes of GN Club; and
-
Agree to comply with the GN Club Constitution, By-laws, policies and lawful resolutions.
Spouse/Partner Eligibility
The Greater Noakhali origin requirement does not apply to the spouse, de facto partner or legally recognised partner of a person otherwise eligible for a Voting Membership category.
🗳️ Voting & Governance Rights
Once approved and Financial, a Life Member is a Voting Member.
Subject to the Constitution, an eligible Financial Life Member may:

Attend and participate in General Meetings;

Exercise one (1) vote at General Meetings;

Nominate and second eligible candidates;
-
Vote in Management Committee elections;
-
Submit eligible motions; and
-
Stand for elected office, subject to the applicable constitutional eligibility requirements.
⏳ Application & Approval
Submitting a Life Membership application and paying the AUD $1,000 one-off fee does not automatically confirm membership or voting rights.
Your application will be reviewed by the GN Club Management Committee.
Life Membership commences only after the application has been approved and the applicant has been entered in the Register of Members.
A complete membership application will normally be determined within 90 days.
If an application is refused, any application or membership fee paid for that application will be refunded within 30 days, unless otherwise permitted or required by law.
An applicant may withdraw their application in writing within 10 business days of submission and receive a full refund of application and membership fees paid, provided the application has not already been determined.
Except where otherwise provided by the GN Club Constitution, Terms and Conditions or applicable law, membership fees already paid are generally non-refundable.

Terms and Conditions
Your personal information will be collected, used, stored and managed by Greater Noakhali Club of Australia Inc. (GN Club) for purposes including membership administration, donations, community programs, events, communications, volunteering, fundraising and other lawful activities of the Association. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements and GN Club’s Privacy Policy.
Life Membership Application & Approval
Life Membership is a Voting Membership and is subject to the eligibility requirements of the GN Club Constitution and approval by the Management Committee.
Submitting a Life Membership application and paying the applicable one-off Life Membership fee does not automatically confirm membership or voting rights.

One-Off Life Membership Fee
Life Membership requires payment of the applicable one-off Life Membership fee.
Once the applicable one-off fee has been paid in full, no further annual membership fee is payable for Life Membership, subject to the GN Club Constitution.
Payment of the Life Membership fee does not, by itself, guarantee approval of the membership application or create voting or governance rights before approval.
Membership Fees, Donations & Other Payments
Membership fees, donations and other payments received by GN Club are used to support and further the Association’s charitable and community purposes, including community programs, cultural activities, education, youth and family initiatives, charitable activities, events, community support and reasonable operational costs.
A donation, sponsorship or other financial contribution does not automatically provide membership, voting rights, governance rights or any other membership entitlement.
Online Payments
Online payments may be securely processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe. By making an online payment, you also agree to any applicable terms, conditions and privacy requirements of the relevant payment provider.
Donations
Unless otherwise required by law or subject to specific agreed conditions, donations are generally non-refundable.
GN Club must not represent a donation or contribution as tax-deductible, or issue a DGR receipt, unless GN Club or the relevant fund is validly endorsed or otherwise entitled to do so under applicable law.
Use of Funds
Where funds raised for a particular activity, event or community initiative exceed the amount reasonably required, or circumstances prevent the intended activity from proceeding, GN Club may apply the remaining funds towards other charitable and community programs, services or activities consistent with the objects of the Association, subject to applicable donor restrictions, funding conditions and legal requirements.
Member Responsibilities
Once approved, Life Members are expected to comply with the GN Club Constitution, By-laws, policies and lawful resolutions, support the charitable objects of the Association and conduct themselves respectfully when participating in or representing GN Club.
Acceptance
By submitting a Life Membership application, donation or other payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, the GN Club Constitution, Privacy Policy and other applicable GN Club policies.
Where these Terms and Conditions are inconsistent with the GN Club Constitution or applicable law, the Constitution and applicable law will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
