Bring your family into the GN Club community with one Family Membership.
Family Membership is a Voting Membership designed for eligible families who want to connect with the community, participate in GN Club activities and programs, and have an active voice in the future direction of the Association.
👨👩👧👦 Who Is Included?
A Family Membership may include:

Up to two (2) adults ordinarily residing at the same residential address; and

Their dependent children under 18 years of age.

Each registered adult is treated as a separate Voting Member and has one (1) vote while Financial.
Dependent children may participate in eligible GN Club programs, activities and events but do not have voting or elected office-holding rights unless separately admitted to an eligible membership category.
⭐ Family Membership Benefits
As a Financial Family Member, your family can enjoy a range of opportunities and benefits, subject to the Constitution, program eligibility and availability:

Priority Event Invitations – Members receive first priority for invitations and registration opportunities for eligible GN Club community, cultural, family and other events, particularly where places are limited.

Two Individual Voting Rights – Where two eligible adults are registered under the Family Membership, each adult has one (1) individual vote at General Meetings.

Have Your Voice Heard – Registered Financial Voting Members can attend and participate in General Meetings and contribute to the future direction of GN Club.

Nomination & Election Rights – Each eligible registered adult may nominate and second candidates, vote in elections and stand for elected office, subject to the applicable requirements of the Constitution.

Family & Children’s Activities – Participate in eligible family, children, youth, cultural, educational, social, sporting, recreational and community activities.

Member Updates & Early Notifications – Receive information about upcoming GN Club events, programs, volunteering opportunities, community initiatives and important membership announcements.

Community Connections – Build meaningful relationships with other families, community members, professionals, volunteers and community leaders.

Volunteering Opportunities – Get involved individually or as a family in GN Club's charitable, cultural and community initiatives.

Make a Positive Community Impact – Support initiatives benefiting multicultural communities, women and girls, children and young people, seniors, migrants, new arrivals and people experiencing disadvantage or social isolation.

✅ Who Can Apply?
Each registered adult applying as a Voting Member must satisfy the applicable constitutional requirements.
This includes:

Being 18 years of age or older;
-
Being an Australian citizen, permanent resident or person lawfully residing in Australia;

Ordinarily having an ancestral, family or cultural origin from Greater Noakhali — Noakhali, Feni or Lakshmipur districts of Bangladesh;

Supporting the objects and purposes of GN Club; and
-
Agreeing to comply with the GN Club Constitution, By-laws, policies and lawful resolutions.

Spouse/Partner Eligibility
The Greater Noakhali origin requirement does not apply to the spouse, de facto partner or legally recognised partner of a person otherwise eligible for a Voting Membership category.
This means an eligible member and their spouse or recognised partner may apply together for Family Membership, subject to the other applicable requirements of the Constitution.
💳 Annual Family Membership Fee
Annual Fee: AUD $75 per family
The Family Membership carries one combined annual membership fee covering the registered family membership.
Membership is generally valid for 12 months from its commencement date and is renewable by payment of the applicable annual membership fee.
⏳ Application & Approval
Submitting an application and paying the membership fee does not automatically confirm membership or voting rights.
Your application will be reviewed by the GN Club Management Committee. Membership commences only after the application has been approved and the relevant members have been entered in the Register of Members.
A complete membership application will normally be determined within 90 days.
If an application is refused, any application or membership fee paid for that application will be refunded within 30 days, unless otherwise permitted or required by law.
An applicant may withdraw their application in writing within 10 business days of submission and receive a full refund of application and membership fees paid, provided the application has not already been determined.
Except where otherwise provided by the GN Club Constitution, applicable Terms and Conditions or law, membership fees already paid are generally non-refundable.

Terms and Conditions
Your personal information will be collected, used, stored and managed by Greater Noakhali Club of Australia Inc. (GN Club) for purposes including membership administration, donations, community programs, events, communications, volunteering, fundraising and other lawful activities of the Association. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements and GN Club’s Privacy Policy.
Membership Applications & Approval
Membership is subject to the eligibility requirements of the GN Club Constitution and approval by the Management Committee.
Submitting a membership application and paying the applicable membership fee does not automatically confirm membership or voting rights. Membership commences only after the application has been approved and the applicant has been entered in the Register of Members.

Membership Fees, Donations & Payments
Membership fees, donations and other payments received by GN Club are used to support and further the Association’s charitable and community purposes, including community programs, cultural activities, education, youth and family initiatives, events, community support, charitable activities and reasonable operational costs.
Making a donation, sponsorship or other financial contribution does not automatically provide membership, voting rights, governance rights or any other membership entitlement.
Online Payments
Online payments may be securely processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe. By making an online payment, you also agree to any applicable terms, conditions and privacy requirements of the relevant payment provider.
Donations
Unless otherwise required by law or subject to specific agreed conditions, donations are generally non-refundable.
A donation or financial contribution does not make a person a Member of GN Club. Membership must be separately applied for and approved in accordance with the GN Club Constitution.
GN Club must not represent a donation or contribution as tax-deductible, or issue a DGR receipt, unless GN Club or the relevant fund is validly endorsed or otherwise entitled to do so under applicable law.
Use of Funds
Where funds raised for a particular activity, event or community initiative exceed the amount reasonably required, or circumstances prevent the intended activity from proceeding, GN Club may apply the remaining funds towards other charitable and community programs, services or activities consistent with the objects of the Association, subject to applicable donor restrictions, funding conditions and legal requirements.
Member Responsibilities
Members are expected to comply with the GN Club Constitution, By-laws, policies and lawful resolutions, act respectfully, support the objects of the Association, protect the reputation of GN Club and conduct themselves appropriately when participating in GN Club activities and representing the Association.
Acceptance
By submitting a membership application, donation or other payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, the GN Club Constitution, Privacy Policy and other applicable GN Club policies.
Where these Terms and Conditions are inconsistent with the GN Club Constitution or applicable law, the Constitution and applicable law will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
